The Thick Of It – The Missing DoSAC Files – Paperback Out Tomorrow

Tomorrow (4th November for those without a calendar), is the official release date for the new Thick Of It book, entitled ‘ The Missing DoSac Files’.

The book comprising of a selection of internal emails and correspondences between the characters of The Thick Of It. It is written by the writers of the series including BlueNun favourites Armando Iannucci and Jesse Armstrong, so it should actually be funny and not another crap sitcom related book (like i imagine Little Britain have released before Christmas for the last 6 years).

You can read some exclusive extracts from the book here:

Fry talks sense

Stephen Fry today bashed the BBC in an interview with The Radio Times.

Fry said that “a lot of the adventure and excitement have gone out of television programming and a lot of it is just down to fear”

He went on to say “I do know of so many cases where executives would say ‘What we want is something new, something different, something extraordinary!’

“And they’re brought something new, different and extraordinary and immediately the executive gets cold feet, falls back on something else and we end up with something incredibly bland.”

Id like to see someone from the BBC try and argue with his points, because lets face it, BBC comedy in the last few years has been terrible, I’m hoping the words of someone as influential as Fry will make someone at the BBC start taking a few risks again.

If not we might be stuck with a few more years of the likes of Inn Mates, Miranda, Rev, Massive, Coming of Age, blah blah blah blah blah zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hooray for Fry!
