A rare new interview with Chris Morris, Yeah?

Chris Morris Interview
The Sound of Young America

Wowzers, here is a rare interview with Chris Morris.

In this great interview for ‘The Sound of Young America’, Morris doesn’t just talk about his latest project ‘Four Lions’, he talks about his whole career, integrated with classic Morris sound bites.

I recommend this to all budding comedy writers as Chris goes in depth about his comedy, which is really interesting.

Chris is famous for his privacy and is known for not participating in interviews, so this is a little unusual, a real treat for any fans of Morris, it comes in the week of Four Lions’ American release.

Cemetery Junction and Four Lions released on DVD today

Both Cemetery Junction and Four Lions are released on DVD in the UK today.

The two films are the big screen debuts of two of Britain’s best screenwriters, Gervais & Merchant and Chris Morris.

Cemetery Junction written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant is a coming of age story set in Reading, whilst the controversial Four Lions by Chris Morris follows a group of wannabe terrorists in London.

Cemetery Junction made £1,421,688 at the UK box Office during its run in cinemas, whilst Four Lions grossed £2,928,884

Both are absolutely brilliant films, and are definitely in Blue Nun’s Top 2 films of 2010, hopefully they will raise the profile of British comedy around the world even higher than it already is, but with Cemetery Junction being released as a DVD only release in America and the chances of Americans seeing the funny side to a comedy about terrorists (except in the south, where they might just think it is actually slagging off Muslims), you get the feeling America might miss out this year.
